Lloyd Hollett Comedian
Lloyd Hollett, who is billed as ‘The Comedy Wordsmith’ was described by Gyles Brandreth as ‘…a bit of a Comedy Genius!’ has been taking audiences across the UK by storm with his own unique blend of wordplay wizardry and musical mirth.
Lloyd plays regularly for Warner Leisure Hotels throughout the UK and has released two stand-up DVD’s Mad & Manic and Live & Unleashed. Lloyd’s recent brand new show Live & Electric sold out 2 nights at The Marlowe Theatre Studio in Canterbury. Lloyd is a frequent Guest Act on the Cruise Ship circuit, playing frequently for Fred Olsen and Thomson Cruise Lines.
Not only a renowned comedian but also a writer, Lloyd has penned material for Stephen Mulhern for over five years, including Butlins Tours. Lloyd has also starred alongside Stephen in his ITV1 show Magic Numbers. Lloyd has supported personalities such as Paul Daniels and comedian Sean Hughes on previous UK Tours as well as supporting Jim Davidson on eleven consecutive tours.
Lloyd also has years of Pantomime shows – With over fourteen consecutive pantomimes including playing Starkey in Peter Pan alongside Shaun Williamson and Wendy Peters, Lloyd also has performed his sixth at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury where he is always delighted to return.
Lloyd’s theatre credits include: Will Mossop in Hobson’s Choice; Tony in West Side Story; Judas Iscariot in Godspell; Nick Piazza in Fame; Ariel The Robot in Return To The Forbidden Planet; The Voice of Audrey II in Little Shop Of Horrors, Billy Simpson in Jim Davidson’s Stand Up And Be Counted, and most recently the Scarecrow in The Wizard Of Oz, starring alongside Britain’s Got Talent winners Ashleigh & Pudsey.
In his spare time Lloyd is the proud patron of Cats In Crisis (Thanet) and he lives in Westgate-on-Sea with his wife Danielle and their two adopted cats Arthur and Mogwai.
