Whilst dressed as Ziggy Stardust he has taken his act to appear at the UK National Space Center, and also launched the Biography Channel for Sky TV. ‘Speed of Life’ (the renowned online David Bowie fanzine) has requested interviews and gave glowing reviews of his unplugged performances.

“It takes a special type of talent to get on stage and play tribute to any artist by performing their songs. To cover David Bowie songs as faithfully and with so much passion as shown last night takes the whole David Bowie tribute bands thing to another level. Bowie’s contribution to 20th century music is beyond comparison, he has transcended music genres, transformed musical trends and influenced bands and styles many of which are with us today.
Planet Bowie captured all the best of Bowies styles to entertain a Saturday night crowd with an excellent set covering all the Ziggy songs, including the rarely played live John I’m Only Dancing, a true treat for the anoraks .The first half ran as a classic hour- Starman, Soul Love, Ziggy Diamond Dogs, Changes, Jean Genie and Rock & Roll Suicide. Moonage Daydream and Hang onto Yourself would have graced any encore, and yet after only 5 songs I had counted 5 show stoppers!!
The second half, again selected classical Bowie songs- we all know them, we all sung along- all were classics when released. Yet here was a dream set for Bowie fans- Young Americans, Fashion, Ashes to Ashes, Modern Love Heroes, Let’s Dance, Cracked Actor (a personal favourite) – if only the man himself could select such a set list. As a self confessed Bowie nut the whole show was a blast. There were times during the show that you could have been at Hammersmith Odeon in July 1973!”

I have seen the man himself on many occasions including Toronto in Canada, Rotterdam in Holland, The Old Wembley, Main Road Manchester, Milton Keynes and more recently at the MEN Arena, Manchester. You come very close indeed. No wonder the man himself likes you!!”
“…..Resplendent in high heeled red boots and tight Lurex suit as Ziggy Stardust, he gave a brilliant performance. As a lifelong Bowie fan I was quite dumbfounded by the uncanny likeness in vocals, speaking voice and movement. He was very, very good. The backing band were superb and the lead guitarist emulated Mick Ronson’s sinewy ethereal guitar extremely well.
They kicked off with blisteringly good songs from the Ziggy Stardust, Man Who Sold The World, Hunky Dory and Space Oddity albums, even tackling Moonage Daydream – brave, I thought, but Laurence had no trouble hitting the high notes whilst keeping true to the fragile brittleness of Bowie’s voice. Later he changed into the famous Union flag jacket for the later phase of David Bowie’s career.
The act is certainly capable of playing much larger venues. Speaking later on, he said that he has portrayed David Bowie at the Royal Albert Hall and that it helps if a tribute artist has an affinity with the person they portray.”
