About this Artiste

A Smooth, Easy-Going Style

Vernon (pictured, guitarist) is a fluid and animated performer; drawing vocal comparisons with George Benson, he has played at most major Jazz Festivals in the UK. Studying Jazz theory in an academic capacity at both the Wakefield College and North Wales International Jazz Guitar Summer School, Vernon cut his musical teeth in both the Reggae and Jazz genres (appearing at the prestigious 'Ronnie Scott's' Jazz Club).

Sinatra's Guitarist Ron Anthony

Sinatra's acclaimed guitarist, Ron Anthony, describes Vernon as-
'A tasty player'. As part of this band, Vernon will entertain you with his funky soul voice.

Band Credentials

This talented Band have appeared on many Radio and TV programmes; Paul (keyboards) reached the finals of the 'BBC Big Band of the Year' Contest.

Ken (Alto Sax) most famously supported the Beatles in concert, and also plays flute and clarinet. Brian (drums) has performed in many theatre productions, most notably West Side Story, Guys & Dolls, Wizard of Oz, Fiddler on the Roof, and others.

Musical Styles

This band are equally at home performing Jazz Show tunes and Standards alongside Bluesy numbers. Their fusion of styles (and their own added brand of Latin Jazz and funky soloing!) is sure to entertain a broad range of tastes.

Maureen Hopkins, Director of North Wales Jazz Society:
"...an extremely exciting, entertaining and varied performance...the evening proved very popular with our audience. "
