A Themed Supergroup

This 8 piece themed George Harrison Supergroup ('George Harrys Son') perform a fitting and moving tribute to George Harrison and the Beatles with their uplifting renditions of classic Harrison/Beatles tunes and soaring Harrison solo classics such as 'My Sweet Lord' and 'Give me Love'.

About Gavin (pictured)

Gavin Pring formed the band in 2003, naming the band after a photo he saw of George Harrison with his father, Harry. Within months the band appeared at The Mathew Street Festival to 5,000 people, and many other large events. More recently, GHS have been booked for a live BBC radio show and are headlining a special Eastern themed event (organised by Atrium) at the Pacific Bar, Liverpool.

Their Set

The band faithfully celebrates the life and works of George Harrison, covering his global and unforgettable hits such as 'Something', 'If I Needed Someone', and 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'.

The band draw their set from two main sources- The 1991 'Rock Legends Tour' that George Harrison performed with Eric Clapton, and the fitting tribute Eric Clapton directed for George at the Albert Hall- 'Concert for George'.

The latter saw the talents of stars such as Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, Paul McCartney and Billy Preston (Beatles Keyboard player on 'Let it Be'). Be uplifted by the rapturous 'My Sweet Lord', then rock out to George's mighty Beatles classics 'Taxman', 'Roll Over Beethoven', and 'Old Brown Shoe'.

Celebrity Friends

Gavin has toured the world most notably across America, which led to a meeting with Jerry Springer on his show! Gavin has also appeared at the Rock Hall of Fame and Abbey Road on the River Festival in British Export, a band he also works with whilst in America. On his travels, Gavin's portrayal of George won the approval of George's sister Louise, and he takes his band to perform at Beatleweek every year. This band are suited for any event where guests want to hear the most joyous, uplifting music and leave with a huge smile on their faces! A top band for real live music fans.
