Most artists can perform within the threshold of the sound limiter if the sound level is set at 95 db or higher, but because room acoustics and placement of the limiter microphone can vary from venue to venue, drums may trip it out on the odd occasion. Therefore it’s best to discuss this with the venue, and ask can they give you assurances that the performance won’t be interrupted by sound or noise limiters, if they can’t give you that assurance it may be better to choose another venue.
